Palmer Ruschke Denomination: LCMS Shoreview, MN USA - Thursday, January 25, 2001 at 22:01:37 (CST) I commend to your visitors the book "Authority Vested : A Story of Identity and Change in the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod." It offers some excellant insights as to how the LCMS has become what it is today. If we can understand how we got to the present struggle, maybe we can begin to refocus on the Gospel so the Holy Spirit can draw us together and so fulfill our Savior's High Priestly prayer that we may all be one as Christ and the Father are one. If this is to happen we need to start talking about what unites us (Christ) instead of what divides us (sinful pride). Seminarian Christopher Dale Denomination: Evangelical Lutheran Synod (ELS) Mankato, MN USA - Thursday, January 25, 2001 at 09:11:51 (CST) I will use your site often for research. Thank You! Is it possible with such a network to begin an American Confessional Lutheran Church? Its time to leave these other bodies en masse. Steve Koke Denomination: Swedenborgian Santa Ysabel, CA USA - Friday, October 20, 2000 at 12:45:46 (CDT) I'm interested in learning about the doctrine of "sola Scriptura," in Latin, the doctrine of the Bible as the sole source of religious truth. What is involved in this idea? Please mention sources and any subordinate doctrines. For example, just to be specific, would spiritual experience be allowed as a source of divine teaching? John A. Who has a better reading of the Districts Conventions. LW Left
much to be asked? Lisa Stapp Denomination: LCMS Spring, tx USA - Friday, July 28, 2000 at 14:21:02 (CDT) I just read the articles
on what it takes to be a Christian. THANK YOU FOR POSTING IT!
I spent about three years with Campus Crusade for Christ as a
student at University of Houston. Frankly, sometimes I MISS the
approach of cornering someone and badgering them into praying
the "sinners' prayer," then taking credit for "leading someone
to Christ." This article was SUCH an encouragement. Karen Koenig Denomination: LCMS Pittsburgh, PA USA - Thursday, July 27, 2000 at 17:09:19 (CDT) Glad to see many

! Gregg R. Berger Denomination: LCMS Oswego, IL USA Thursday, June 22, 2000 at 10:57:11 (CDT) I am very
pleased to find websites devoted to reinvigorating
confessionalism within the Lutheran church as a whole, and the
LCMS in particular. It is amazing how the proverbial "camel in
the tent" approach of Evangelical/Charismatic Protestantism is
taking such a foothold, especially as sanctioned by district and
synodical officials. I agree with a pastor friend of mine that
these churches should just take "Lutheran" out of their name to
not hide from their misrepresentations that is confusing the
laity. All thanks and praise to God. Suzanne Molnar Denomination: LCMS Hartland, MI USA Wednesday, June 14, 2000 at 21:47:55 (CDT) Enjoying the

to be back again. Thanks for Dr. Lockwood's paper on the debate
on women's ordination in the Lutheran Church in Australia. This
isn't an issue in my parish, but should it ever come up, Dr.
Lockwood provides a faithful LUTHERAN response to those who
promote this heresy. Gerald J Zellar Denomination: Lcms Lakefield, Mn USA Saturday, June 03, 2000 at 20:44:42 (CDT) Thanks for

I am so relieved to find that truly Confessional Lutherans are
determined to reach the wandering laity that are falling away
from the one true church. All at the behest of these wolves in
sheep's clothing, the liberals that plague our synod. Be bold
and continue to proclaim the truth, it is much needed in this
synod. Rev. Jonathan Wessel Denomination: LCMS Stevens Point, WI USA - Friday, June 02, 2000 at 10:35:01 (CDT) Great

confessional congregation in a sea of liberalism. I am
concerned lke many people who have responded in the guestbook,
however, I must say i see much strength in Missouri. As long as
we stick together and remain faithful to the Gospel and Our Lord
all will b e alright. Pray for our synodical president and the
voncention in 2001. The liberals are mobilizing to steal the
conventions. Be aware! Be alert! If we are not watching they
will steal our church, synod and our confessions and the Bible
will be left up to them to carve up like the liberrals in ELCA
until it is unrecognizable any more. Paul L. Fox, Jr. Denomination: ELCA Salisbury, NC USA Saturday, April 01, 2000 at 14:12:15 (CST) Where is David

time when confessional Lutheranism is under assault by the
demonic forces of our culture, visiting your site always
provides me with great encouragement. It's easy to grow
discouraged at times in the struggle to remain faithful to the
Scriptures and the Confessions. Your site reminds me of the
importance of being faithful to the Word, speaking God's truth
faithfully and clearly, and then leaving the results to the Lord
of the Church. Programs don't build the Church; only the
Gospel, purely preached and taught, does that. Thanks for the
ever-present reminder of this truth. Confessional Synod (LCS) Decatur, IL USA - Thursday, February 17, 2000 at 21:57:12 (CST) I wish all Lutherans
who claim to be "confessional" would realize that there are
confessional denominations in existence. The LC-MS has a few
confessional districts, but overall it is not. Please, everyone,
look into church bodies that are entirely confessional! Ken Kreis Denomination: LCMS Rudd, IA USA - Thursday, February 17, 2000 at 19:07:54 (CST) Thank-you Rev.Donald R. our youth, in the future. Confessional Lutheranism will always
be here as long as the kids know that THIS is a fight worth
fighting. Fighting the battle it's self is a blessing. I am 17

to fight. Thank you for this site. ****Joshua 1:9**** Burke Perry Denomination: Lutheran Church Missouri Synod Saint Paul, MN USA - Sunday, January 30, 2000 at 23:43:29 (CST) Nice page and good theological resources and

am a Reformed Calvinist, and rejoice in what I have read
concerning the confessional Lutherans in the US. I confess with
you that justificication is the key doctrine on which everything
hinges. I look forward to hearing from you. We are in a fight to
uphold the Gospel - not only from liberals butwell-meaning but
abysmally ignorant evangelicals and charismatics. Pastor Richard W. Berg Denomination: LCMS Rockford, IL USA - Monday, January 03, 2000 at 11:00:47 (CST) Great
